Wildlife photographer and Sealskinz ambassador Craig Jones’ photography is featured in the February issue of BBC Wildlife Magazine which is now on sale.
Covering for the very first time in one article, BBC Wildlife Magazine covers the rescue and rehabilitation work of critically endangered Sumatran orangutans in Sumatra. Working closely with the Human Orangutan Conflict Response Unit (HOCRU), Craig comments on the article, “I hope it shines a bright light around the world for these apes and those that try and save them. Really proud to see my work illustrate this article helping those great apes”
Craig is kitted out in Sealskinz on his photography endeavours, he reviews his latest gear from his Sumatra expedition; “The Sealskinz waterproof socks allowed me to wear a light sandal which was great for walking yet gave me the amazing option of keeping my feet dry walking through the water and low laying rain you have in rainforest habitat. At no time were my feet wet when other parts of my body were soaked in sweat through humidity. The waterproof sunhat also protected me from the sun and the rains both products were really tough and hardwearing and perfect for this tough environment. If you get wet feet there is nothing worse and in this rainforest environment disease and decay can happen overnight so from that put of view wearing the knee high socks and sandals was a perfect commendation on this trip to the jungles of Sumatra.”
