Three-Layer Aquasealz™ Composition

Sealskinz three-layer AQUASEALZ™ composition sees a 100% waterproof hydrophilic membrane enmeshed between a premium merino wool interior and an extra-durable nylon exterior.

Outer – Durable nylon exterior, with 4-way stretch for an optimal fit.

Mid-Section – Aquasealz™ waterproof membrane releases body-generated heat and moisture, while denying intrusion of external elements.

Interior – Premium merino wool and acrylic blend for softness, sweat-wicking and odour resistance.

Hydrostop™

Hydrostop™ is an elastic taping around the inside cuff of the sock. This extra barrier reduces the risk of water dripping down the leg into the sock.

Utilising the same three-layer Aquasealz™ composition, the added presence of Hydrostop™ enforces the sock’s waterproofness. Lightweight and breathable, the Briston tackles a wide array of conditions. A Seamless construction stops the formation of blisters. Hiking, backpacking, trekking and mountain biking provide a glimpse of its scope.

Construction

Sealskinz accessories are developed under the eye of Robbie Greenacre, head of innovation and technical development. Our factory in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, is a great example of British industry. Waterproofness and thermal management are at the forefront of our vision, equipping the wearer with maximum protection against the elements. The Briston is a subtle reimagining of the Raynham – a Sealskinz classic.

How do I care for the Briston? How do I care for the Briston?

We don’t like complicated things. And when it comes to the care of your socks, we want to make it as simple as possible. This is the type of sock you can throw in the wash along with the rest of your gear. No need to line dry or wash with special detergents. Since the membrane is a solid barrier, you’ll never need to re-waterproof.
